Terms of Service

Last updated: 30 June 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of The Drunken Inn (the “Service”), operated by DPC Inc. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service

The Drunken Inn is a single-player, AI-narrated fantasy role-playing game. The Service is provided for personal entertainment. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 13 (or the minimum age in your country) to use the Service.
  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
  • You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us of any unauthorised use.

Subscriptions, trials, and billing

  • Access to the full Service requires a paid subscription, billed through Stripe on the interval you select (monthly, six-monthly, or annual).
  • We may offer a free trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription automatically converts to a paid plan and your payment method is charged.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
  • Prices may change; we will give notice of changes before they apply to your next renewal.
  • Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded; where the law requires us to provide a remedy (such as a refund), we will do so.

AI-generated content

The Service uses AI to generate narration, dialogue, and audio. AI output can be inaccurate, unexpected, or unintended, and is provided for entertainment only. It does not represent the views of DPC Inc and should not be relied on as advice of any kind.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
  • Attempt to access, abuse, or overload our systems or AI endpoints (including scripted or automated requests).
  • Reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the Service or its content except as permitted by law.
  • Attempt to bypass paywalls, usage limits, or security measures.
  • Submit content that is illegal, infringing, or that you do not have the right to submit.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, text, art, and audio, is owned by DPC Inc or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the Service for its intended purpose. Character details and backstories you create are yours; by submitting them you grant us the licence needed to operate the Service (for example, to process and store your saves and to send your inputs to our AI provider to generate gameplay).

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that AI output will meet your expectations.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DPC Inc will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia, and any disputes will be subject to the courts of that jurisdiction, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you of material changes. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
